This Blog entry from TechReport talks about the relative cost of Aero’s glass interface and its affect on Power Consumption and Battery life.  Its worth a read if Vista on a laptop is in your future?

CORRECTION: This is about Power Consuption on desktop machines.  It probably is indicative of battery life on laptops but is it not specially about that issue.
